International Maritime & Aviation LLC - Dubai - have delivered approximately 480 items / 523000 FT of Over Dimensional / Heavy Lift cargo to site; the details of super heavy items are as below.

1. 45 x HRSG modules of average specification of 24 x 4 x 4 / 200 MT
2. 3 x Gas Turbines of 11 x 5 x 5 / 300 MT
3. 3 x Steam Turbine of 10 x 4 x 4 / 285 MT

Algerian electricity company Shariket Karhaba Koudiet Eddraouch, owned by Sonelgaz and Sonatrach, has awarded a contract to GE and its consortium partner, the Spanish engineering firm Iberdrola Ingenieria y Construccion, for the construction of the Koudiet Eddraouch combined cycle power plant in El-Tarf province, 700 kilometers east of Algiers, Algeria.

The new facility is expected to produce 1,200MW of power, which would increase Algeria's current installed generation capacity by approximately 18%. As one of the largest combined-cycle power plants in the region, the project would help meet Algeria's electricity demand, which is reportedly growing at the rate of more than 7% per year. GE has supplied the F-class gas turbines for the Koudiet Eddraouch plant from GE Energy's facilities in Belfort, France.
