Paccon Logistics, Durban, South Africa, is providing updates to the current situation of civil unrest:

"It has been a very stressful week or so. We are sure you have seen various news reports and pics. The situation has calmed down, and looting is mostly over since Friday. The extent of damage is unbelievable. Many people have been traumatized, and sadly over 200 have lost their lives during this protest/looting, etc.

We would like to thank our valued clients and colleagues for the continued messages of support during the protest action last week. We open our office today. 50% of staff will return to the Durban office tomorrow, and the remaining staff is working from home based on COVID-19 lockdown level 4 still being in place in South Africa.

Click here to view the latest Transnet port terminals updates. As of 19/07, note that transporters, crane companies, warehouse, and container depots, have returned to the office but remain on high alert."
